Hornet defense keys 49-14 win over Troy
The Wellsboro Hornet defense caused six (5 fumbles and 1 interception) Troy turnovers to improve to 5-0 after a 49-14 win on Friday, September 22.
“We’re happy being 5-0 it’s where we want to be sitting right now and we control our own destiny moving ahead,” concluded Hildebrand. “We just have to continue to press every week and get better. We have to clean up things, things were sloppy tonight. We have to clean up penalties, we can’t be in third-and-20’s, we don’t have a lot of good plays for that down and distance. From an offensive standpoint we have to clean that up. We’ll keep moving ahead and play our brand of football every week.”
Cooking with Dad: The Breakfast Stack
How you start your day is important.
Start yours with a happy family when you prepare these delicious sweet potato breakfast stacks! Watch the video above to learn how to prepare this perfect day-starter.
The start of your day has a huge impact on how the rest of your day will follow. If you start your day rushing and frantic, you give yourself a rush of adrenaline in an unhealthy way. God’s word says, in Colossians 3:12, “Clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” These attributes are a great way to start the day because they can prepare you for the day by putting your mind in a place of peace and rest. No matter what the day may bring, having a good start can guide you to a day filled with great accomplishments.
Hornets top Northern Tioga on home course
All year the Wellsboro Golf team had one goal, beat Northern Tioga. That finally happened on their home course of Tyoga Country Club on Tuesday, September 26.
“Today was a great win for our team,” said head coach Steve Macensky after his 80th career win. “Posting a score of 324 was an incredible day on a tough golf course. I hope this gives the team the confidence they need to play their best golf going forward. I’m very proud of them all.”
The Keystone Welcome Center
Robert George, Operations Manage of the Keystone Welcome Center, shared some of the passion and purpose behind the travel destination. Similar to a rest stop, a welcome center serves the public with the amenities of a comfortable travel stop, including vending options, bathroom facilities, a pet area, and room to stretch your legs. However, the similarities stop there. The Keystone Welcome Center goes beyond these conveniences to provide a staff with the sole purpose of helping travelers find any helpful information possible about their Pennsylvania travels. There are rows and rows of travel pamphlets available. The center is devoted to making a comfortable stop for those passing through, as well as enriching their overall trip with information and help.
Movin’ Together – It’s A Stretch!
The benefits of stretching are numerous. Warming up with stretching before we exercise drastically changes the effect that the movements have on our muscles. Stretching improves range of motion, enhances flexibility, and increases blood flow to the muscles. All of these benefits improve exercise performance, as well as overall health.
In this edition of Movin’ Together, Health and Wellness Educator Sharon Belvin shares some of the reasons that stretching is so important. First and foremost, stretching helps prevent injury. Navigating life can include accidents and mishaps. This is a reality at any age, and increasing flexibility through stretching can help avoid potential injuries.
