People of Honor Documentary

Gale Largey presents documentary at The Deane Center

by John Vogt – May 31, 2017

Gale Largey invites you to join us tonight at the Coolidge Theater located at the Deane Center for The Performing Arts. He will be presenting the film ‘people of honor’, a tribute to the WWII generation of Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

This presentation focuses on the war front and home front. The war front includes interviews with individuals who were in The Battle of the Bulge, witnesses of the raising of the American Flag at Iwo Jima, and survivors of the Bataan Death March and POW camps.

On the home front, the film includes original footage of the Bond Drive in downtown Wellsboro, plane spotters on the roof of the Penn Wells, removal of the cannon on the Green, and moving footage of the first men leaving for war.

Join him tonight for the showing of the ‘people of honor.’ He especially encourages young adults and teenagers to attend this tribute and historical presentation. Start time is 7 PM at the Deane Center. Admission is free.
