2017 NTL Track & Field Championships

Local teams compete for Northern Tier League crowns

The Northern Tier League held their track and field championships on Friday, May 12 at Athens Area High School, with the host Wildcats winning both the men’s and women’s titles.

Athens won the men’s meet with 145 points. Towanda (119.5) was 2nd, North Penn-Mansfield (98) was 3rd, Northeast Bradford (89) was 4th, Wyalusing (86.5) was 5th, Wellsboro (56) was 6th, Williamson (49) was 7th, Canton (39) was 8th, Sayre (14) was 9th, and Troy (5) was 10th.

Athens also won the women’s meet with a team score of 172. Canton (83) was 2nd, Troy (78) was 3rd, Towanda (74) was 4th, Wellsboro (70) was 5th, Williamson (63) was 6th, Wyalusing (62) was 7th, Northeast Bradford (46) was 8th, Sayre (32) was 9th, and North Penn-Mansfield (22) was 10th.
